Roadmap

Canary Roadmap

Canary is building the foundational infrastructure for real-world assets (RWAs), stablecoins, and cross-chain finance. Our mission is to enable every asset, every chain, and every protocol to access secure, verifiable data and bridging from day one. By unifying oracles and bridges under a single system, Canary eliminates fragmentation and creates a faster, safer, and more transparent foundation for the on-chain economy.

  1. DVN Expansion and Network Growth

Current Status: Canary DVN is live across 100+ chains, serving as the verification backbone for the LayerZero ecosystem. It currently secures more than $20B in assets and has already processed over $1B in transaction volume.

Near Term (0–3 Months):

β€’ Onboard USDT0 and Stargate to strengthen adoption among cross-chain infrastructure protocols.

β€’ Expand support for both EVM and SVM environments, improving performance and reliability across networks.

β€’ Scale Canary DVN's regional presence by deploying multi-region AWS Nitro enclaves to improve availability, redundancy, and fault tolerance.

β€’ Grow enterprise adoption through integrations with leading protocols such as Midas, which has already integrated Canary DVN.

Medium Term (3–9 Months):

β€’ Expand DVN integrations to 100+ OFTs, covering the majority of cross-chain asset issuance. β€’ Achieve 50%+ of LayerZero's total FDV secured through Canary DVN.

β€’ Go multi-cloud, adding Google Cloud, AMD SEV, and Intel TDX as additional TEE implementations to diversify trust assumptions.

β€’ Enhance decentralization with a K-of-N multi-TEE quorum model combining different hardware vendors and regions for maximum resilience.

Long Term (9–18 Months):

β€’ Establish Canary DVN as the default verification layer for all cross-chain messaging, ensuring that every transfer and interaction between blockchains is cryptographically verified and verifiable.

  1. Canary Nest Oracle Expansion

Current Status: Canary Nest is the fastest and most secure institutional-grade oracle on the market. Built entirely on Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), it brings data directly from the source to on-chain smart contracts in real time, with full attestation and verifiability.

Near Term (0–3 Months): β€’ Launch Canary Nest Oracle on RISE, enabling real-time, 5ms latency pricing updates within the chain's native architecture.

β€’ Deploy oracle feeds on Aptos, Sui, TON, and Solana, alongside existing EVM and SVM integrations.

β€’ Integrate with M0, Centrifuge, and Plume to power secure, attested NAV and RWA pricing.

β€’ Begin work on a complete data pipeline for equities to support tokenized stock products such as those from Backed Finance and future x-stock issuers.

Medium Term (3–9 Months):

β€’ Expand to Miden and Aztec, bringing secure oracles to privacy-focused and rollup-based ecosystems.

β€’ Support institutional projects like Ondo Finance, Centrifuge, Backed and additional RWA protocols currently in development.

β€’ Deploy programmable deviation guards and real-time attestation proofs on-chain to further increase verifiability and transparency.

Long Term (9–18 Months):

β€’ Establish Canary Nest as the standard oracle layer for RWAs and stablecoins, ensuring every major protocol can access secure, real-time, attested data feeds from launch.

  1. Attestation and Verification Layer

Near Term (0–3 Months):

β€’ Implement Canary MFA, which allows smart contracts to verify both enclave signing keys and code hashes before accepting data updates.

β€’ Strengthen in-enclave SSL pinning and enforce HTTPS verification for all data fetched from source APIs.

Medium Term (3–9 Months):

β€’ Introduce ZK-wrapped attestations, generating succinct proofs (using RISC-V or SP1) that allow Nitro attestations to be verified on-chain efficiently.

β€’ Launch the Canary Attestation Network (CAN), a lightweight verifier network that confirms data authenticity asynchronously without delaying publication.

Long Term (9–18 Months):

β€’ Build an ecosystem of verifiers capable of running on commodity hardware or mobile devices, ensuring global transparency and mass verifiability for every piece of data published by Canary.

  1. Vision and Market Expansion

Canary's vision is simple: to make building and securing real-world assets as easy as deploying a smart contract.

Every RWA protocol, stablecoin, and cross-chain platform should be able to launch with secure data feeds, bridging, and attestations from day one. Canary is making this possible through infrastructure that is fast, verifiable, and cost-efficient β€” built to scale from DeFi applications to institutional finance.

In the near future, every major on-chain institution β€” from RWA issuers like Backed Finance and Ondo, to cross-chain leaders like Stargate, Midas, and LayerZero β€” will rely on Canary, either through Canary DVN or Canary Nest Oracle.
